FAQ
Who gets the surcharge?
The ATM owner determines how the surcharge revenue is distributed. Under our Processing Program the merchant keeps the entire surcharge.
How much is the surcharge?
The average surcharge is $2.50, but can be set to any amount. To compare, banks charge $3.00 for each transaction. The ATM owner has freedom to set the surcharge to any amount they choose.
When do I get my money?
The money dispensed by the ATM (vault cash) and the surcharge revenue is deposited into your account via the Federal Reserve the next day. Funds from Monday will be available Tuesday, Tuesday’s on Wednesday, Wednesday’s on Thursday, and Thursday’s on Friday. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday transactions are deposited Monday.
What happens when someone does not get enough money?
This is extremely rare, but if this does happen, the customer should call their bank to verify the completion of the transaction on their account. If a withdrawal was made from the account and you did not get the money, a “Regulation E Claim” should be filed with the issuer of the card. Contact California ATM Solutions if any other issues arise. Our toll free number is on the ATM surcharge sticker.NEVER give the customer money; you may never get it back!
What happens when the ATM does not work?
Contact our office at 1.760.424.2424 or our 24 hour tech support number that will be included in your welcome package.
What are my expenses?
If you have a free placement you will have no expenses at all. If you purchase or lease an ATM you will need to pay a one-time charge for the ATM, or arrange interest free financing from us.
